Getting there
Flying
After arriving at DIA, you’ll quickly realize you’re in the middle of nowhere. If you’re not renting a car, your options are to Uber/Lyft from the airport (~$50) or take the light rail directly to Union Station downtown. Both are great options.
Getting around
If you’re not renting a car, the best way to get around Denver is via Uber/Lyft. We do have a pretty robust bus and light rail system, but who wants to deal with that on vacation?

Things to do
Casa Bonita
“The Greatest Restaurant In The World”
Casa Bonita is more than a restaurant, it’s an experience. Recently ressurected by the South Park creators, this piece of Denver history is the only place that you can eat enchiladas while watching cliff divers, taco-based puppet shows, and so much more.

Go for a hike!
If you want to take advantage of the mountains, they’re a short 30-minute drive due west of Denver. There are literally thousands of trailheads along the front range, but for a nice day trip we recommend Clear Creek Trail and an apres-hike in beautiful Golden, Colorado.
Another good option is the Red Rocks Trail, which gives you the added bonus of checking out the world famous ampitheater.
Remember, Denver is the “Mile High City,” and the elevation is no joke. Please stay hydrated and pace yourself if you’re hitting the trails.
Meow Wolf
Meow Wolf is a surreal, walk-through art experience with many interactive rooms, bizarre sculptures, and many secrets to uncover. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon if you’re looking for an alternative to a museum and want to be visually overstimulated.
